An aerial view of the Thomson factories at Carron, Falkirk , showing how they have grown since the first building was erected in the early thirties.
This was part of the dark-grey building in the left foreground, end on to the road. The other dark-grey buildings behind it went up during the 'fifties. The lighter-coloured buildings on the right were the extensions between 1963 and 1968.
In the top left, above the caravans lined up for dispatch, is the outline of the £75,000 factory for Thomson T-Line Homes, in production for the 1971 season. |
